Vexels are pixel-based designs that look very similar to vector-based art. They’re basically the best form of digital art for making something look as realistic as possible.
A single vexel design could take as long as a few days to finish, sometimes even weeks! This type of design is usually created in an image editing software that has advanced freehand tools, like the pen and pencil tools, such as Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator. A single vexel design takes a large number of layers to build.
In this post, we feature 40 absolutely spectacular vexel portraits from extremely patient and creative graphic design artists from all over the world.

We’re often told to “never judge a book by its cover”. Even though we try not to, we sometimes tend to, indeed, judge a book by its cover. In fact, most people decide to buy a book because they were somehow attracted to its cover design.
The first thing people see in a book is its cover design, and then perhaps the back design. And because of that, the designer has to be able to create a cover that not only looks eye-catching, but also delivers the book’s essential idea.
In this post, we feature 30 beautifully designed book covers that captured our attention. We hope that they somehow capture yours, and perhaps inspire you to design your own book cover.
